About the role
As Head of Commercial, you will own Boltz’s enterprise commercial motion, converting inbound interest from leading pharma and biotech organizations into large, structured platform partnerships. Boltz already has a strong top-of-funnel driven by scientific credibility and open-source adoption. Your role is to translate that demand into $1M+ ACV enterprise contracts, deploying Boltz models into secure customer environments and structuring long-term collaborations. You will operate as a player-coach: personally leading high-value deals while building a repeatable enterprise sales motion. This includes scoping complex engagements, negotiating contracts, and expanding key accounts over time. You will work closely with the CEO, scientific leadership, and product to ensure that commercial engagements are grounded in real scientific value and aligned with Boltz’s long-term platform vision.
About you
- Essentials: 5+ years of experience in sales or business development with a proven track record closing multimillion dollar enterprise deals in frontier technology (ideally software)
- Comfortable leading sales and building sales function from scratch
- Strong technical fluency - able to engage credibly with ML, infrastructure, and product teams
- Ability to convert warm inbound demand into structured, closed deals without heavy SDR support
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Nice to have: Experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma
- Background at companies deploying AI tools into enterprises
- Existing network across large pharma and biotech organizations
- Experience deploying products into secure or VPC environments
