About the role
Required from September 2026, a dynamic and talented teacher is needed for a one‑year fixed‑term contract to teach English across the full age range from Year 7 to the Oxbridge entrance. Experience in teaching drama across the Key Stages would be an advantage. The role involves inspiring and supporting highly motivated pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Teach English from Year 7 to A Level.
- Teach drama across the Key Stages where possible.
- Contribute to extra‑curricular and enrichment activities.
- Maintain open and effective communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Support the welfare and individual development of all pupils in your care.
Qualifications
- Graduate with at least a good honours degree.
- Qualified and experienced classroom practitioner with a passion for English.
- Strong organisational, academic and educational experience to meet the demands of this role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced Criminal Records Check for Regulated Activity.
