Position Overview

Bolton School Foundation is seeking a self‑employed, part‑time Single Reed Woodwind Teacher to join a successful team of instrumental teachers within its Music Departments as soon as possible. The Foundation has thriving, fully‑resourced music departments in which over 30 specialist instrumental tutors provide weekly tuition during term time. Pupils are regularly entered for Associated Board and Trinity exams, and many senior pupils study GCSE and A level music.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 35‑minute one‑to‑one lessons in saxophone and clarinet, from beginner to advanced level.
  • Provide opportunity for ensemble coaching as suitable, and increase pupil numbers beyond the current up to nine students.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic and experienced woodwind teachers who are able to teach on a self‑employed basis.
  • Ability to teach other woodwind instruments is advantageous.
