We not only take care of patients' physical needs, we consider their emotional, spiritual and social needs too. And we support families and close friends, both during illness and in bereavement.

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to work within the Inpatient Unit at Bolton Hospice. This will be an exciting and rewarding opportunity for anyone wishing to further develop their nursing skills and knowledge within specialist palliative care.

The role covers a 7 day service and will therefore include weekends.

The Role

As a Staff Nurse working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, you will support patients with complex clinical needs and provide hands-on, person-centered care. Our staff strive to provide the highest quality of service for our patients and their families and carers, through a collaborative team approach. As Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for advising and supporting staff, therefore you will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in the specialty.

What you need:

To apply, you must be a Registered General Nurse, who is enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for specialist palliative and end of life care. A recognised post-registration palliative care qualification is desirable, although you will be fully supported in the role if you have limited or no experience with the specialty. You will have access to a range of training and development opportunities and be welcomed as a valued member of an experienced and supportive team.
