The predicted salary is between 43300 - 47500 £ per year.

Grade K SCP 39 £50,269- SCP 43 £54,495 plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963pa.

Contract: 1x 2 year Fixed Term contract.

Essential Requirement: Full Driving Licence, DBS.

Essential Qualification: CQSW/DipSW/CSS or equivalent and registered with Social Work England.

The Role

We are recruiting a Team Manager for a 2 Years Fixed Term position within the Leaving Care Team who will also take the responsibility of the service provided to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking children. As a Team Manager, you will lead the management, supervision, support and guidance of a team of social workers. You will ensure that the services offered to children are of the highest quality, ensuring effective safeguarding of children and adhering to statutory and legislative requirements. You will be expected to ensure the excellent standards of work are steered through supervision, quality assurance, performance management and audit.

We are seeking an inspirational manager who understands the responsibility and privilege of supporting unaccompanied children. You will drive a culture of care, safeguarding and ambition, ensuring that each young person receives the consistent support and opportunities they need to achieve their potential. Alongside the management team, Head of Service and Strategic Lead you will work together to drive forward the vision of improving services to ensure the most vulnerable children in Bolton are safe and their outcomes improved.

About You

We are looking for people who are confident and motivated who thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy making well informed decisions that have a real impact. You will have at least three years post qualifying experience and a strong understanding of safeguarding and current children’s social care practice. You will be skilled in analysing information from multiple sources, assessing risk, and making safe, timely and proportionate threshold decisions for children in need and those requiring protection. You will have an understanding of the asylum process of unaccompanied asylum seeking children, have the knowledge and understanding of Age and Human Rights Assessments or willing to undergo training. You will bring excellent communication skills, enabling you to build positive professional relationships, provide clear advice and guidance. You will be confident in quality assuring quality Contacts and Referrals, presenting accurate and concise information both verbally and in writing. You will need to be resilient and solution-focused, with an ethos of effective team working, partnership working and leadership. You will be able to show transferrable skills that enable you to be an effective Team Manager in the challenging but rewarding area of Children’s Social Care. You will also act as a champion for continuous improvement, role modelling high standards of practice, embedding Research in Practice, and contributing positively to the ongoing development within Children’s Social Care.
