Salary Range: Grade 4, SCP 10 – 12, FTE Salary £26,835.00 – £27,711.00, (pro rata salary £22,427.17 – £23,159.28)
Salary amounts quoted are from 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Part time/TTO – 35 hours per week/39 weeks 45.942 paid weeks
Base: Essa Academy, Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, BL3 3HH
Important: The post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Role purpose and responsibilities
Northern Education Trust – Essa Academy is seeking to appoint 4 highly motivated and skilled members of staff who share our vision and who truly want to enhance the life chances of the children and young people under our care. The ideal candidate will work as part of the academy/department to support interventions with students who require additional mentoring to achieve GCSE. Responsibilities include working with other small groups and individual students across Key Stage 3 and 4 as required, promoting learning and welfare by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special needs under the direction of a class teacher/Inclusion Manager.
- Build positive relationships with all children, staff and parents.
- Work closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to remove barriers to learning.
