We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of class teacher to join our amazing school. The successful candidate will demonstrate our core values of Honesty, Respect, Love, Teamwork, Trust, and Forgiveness, which underpin all our learning experiences, helping to provide our children with the best start to their education and future employment.

Salary: M1-M6 depending on experience

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

The class taught will be determined by the strengths of the successful applicant.

You will:

  • Be an exemplary class teacher.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to motivate and support staff and pupils.
  • Have effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Have high expectations of children's achievement and behaviour.

DUTIES:

  • A. Leadership of the School
    Motivate and work with others to create a shared culture and a positive climate consistent with the school's vision, mission statement, and Christian values. Support the Headteacher in leading sustained school improvement.
  • B. Leading, Learning, and Teaching
    Keep abreast of teaching and learning initiatives and develop relevant strategies for improvement. Encourage effective teaching and learning by supporting staff development. Ensure a focus on pupils' achievement across the school. Ensure effective planning to promote progress. Ensure quality first teaching promotes progress. Ensure robust assessment across the school.
  • C. Developing Self and Working with Others
    Be a positive role model for staff, parents, and pupils. Attend school events and support staff in community activities. Treat all people fairly, with dignity and respect. Engage with other schools to build effective learning communities. Review personal practice, set targets, and pursue personal development. Support colleagues and governors. Manage workload to promote work-life balance.
  • D. Accountability
    Support the Headteacher in developing procedures for school self-evaluation.
  • E. Strengthening Community
    Represent the school effectively. Link learning experiences with the wider community. Maintain partnerships with parents and carers. Attend and support community events.
