The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Legal Assistant to join us to provide high quality support to a team of children social care lawyers. You will provide support on a range of legal matters relating to the safeguarding of children, public and private law proceedings. You will work closely with the lawyers in the team on allocated cases and be responsible for the management and organisation of your own work and caseload. You will need to ensure the work meets with any quality standards which may be set and may be responsible for the provision of an accurate court bundle where required.

- Timetabling
- Clerking counsel at hearings where required

About You
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge and experience in legal assistant duties. You will have the ability to work to deadlines, be highly organised and enjoy working as part of a team. Excellent communication skills will be required, as well as the ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities. You will have the ability and confidence to work independently whilst knowing when to ask for support or guidance. Whilst previous local authority experience would be advantageous, we encourage applications from candidates who have private practice experience/experience in other areas of law within the same or similar roles or who have experience in other in-house roles where you possess the desired transferable skills.
