Grade K SCP 39 £50,269- SCP 43 £54,495 plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963pa.

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week.

The Role:

The LADO responds promptly, effectively and confidentially to allegations and concerns from all organisations offering a service to children, ensuring high standards of professional practice consistent with legislation and statutory guidance. The LADO has a key role in challenging and supporting agencies to take appropriate and timely steps to safeguard children from neglect and abuse by professionals, volunteers and those in public office who have direct contact with or responsibility for children.

About You:

You will be the first point of contact for all allegations made against people who work and volunteer with children and young people and will provide guidance and advice on the most appropriate action in consultation with the employer. We are looking for an experienced social work professional who can develop effective professional credibility and working relationships, communicate effectively, chair meetings, maintain clear records, provide training and critically analyse trends and themes across multi-agency systems.
