The Headteacher and Governors of Pikes Lane Primary are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our early years team. This is a fixed-term position until July 2026, working 32.5 hours per week during term time.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider EYFS team to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing, both in the classroom and through play-based provision.
Key Responsibilities:- Support children’s learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress and engagement
- Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with observations, assessments and record keeping
- Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare requirements at all times
- Holds a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning / Early Years (or equivalent)
- Has experience of working with children in an EYFS setting
- Is nurturing, patient and enthusiastic about early childhood education
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
