After School Club Manager – ‘The Lighthouse Club’
Salary: Grade E SCCP 11-17
Actual Salary - £9,539 - £10,516 p.a.
Hours: 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
15 hours per week.

At St Thomas School we are launching our new After School Club which will offer on-site out-of-hours provision for pupils. We are seeking a dedicated After School Club Manager to lead and develop this new club.
Are you a person who can help our children shine by combining fun, care and creativity to help our pupils enjoy their additional time in school? This rewarding role is ideal for someone who is imaginative and able to create fun experiences for children in a safe environment after school each day. Visits to school are encouraged and welcomed. About the Role
- Have a vision in how you will support SLT in establishing our new After School Club
- Lead and manage the daily running of the club
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for children who attend the club
- Lead a small team with passion and positivity
- Make a real difference to children aged 4 to 11
- Support some of the club administration
- Uphold the Mission and Values of our Church School
- Respect and work within the framework of school policies
- Promote the vision of our newly established After School Club
- Administer First Aid (Training will be provided if necessary)
What We Are Looking For
- Essential: Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Childcare or Playwork
- Knowledge of compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards
- Experience: Working with children aged 4 to 11 in a play or childcare setting
- A caring leader who can balance fun with responsibility
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, preparing and delivering a wide range of quality play activities
- Ensuring the setting is safe, clean and ready for each session
- Supporting pupils, making sure all children feel included and welcomed
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers
- Supporting play workers and volunteers
- Organising healthy snacks for each day
The post holder may reasonably be expected to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility that may be allocated, at the discretion of the Head Teacher and to meet the needs of the school.
