The Role:
This is a key position in the planning service. As Team Leader you will manage and supervise the team of technical assistants covering a variety of technical and administrative functions which support the Planning Service. You will oversee performance and service delivery to ensure we deliver efficient and quality services. Working closely with Planning Service Managers you will deploy resources to best effect, responding to priority work needs, review processes and contribute to ongoing service improvements including IT systems. This role involves working with a range of customers both internal and external to the Council.
About You:
Experienced manager with a positive can do approach to work. You will have knowledge of planning processes and IT systems such that you will be an effective team leader in this technical environment. A strong leader and team player who is able to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and with multiple deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator, able to develop others in the team to ensure appropriate standards are achieved and legislative requirements are met.
