The predicted salary is between 18 - 19 £ per hour.

Pay: Up to £19.00 an hour

Location: South East of England

Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruiting a qualified Industrial Door Engineer preferably from the Essex area.
  • Working predominantly in the South East of England, with travel required depending on workloads.
  • Experience in the Industrial Door Industry, mechanically installing both manual & electrical rolling & folding steel shutter doors.

Desirable Qualifications Include:

  • IPAF, CSCS, PASMA and/or City & Guilds.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK (Essential).
  • A Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (Essential).
  • Ability to communicate well in English, both in written form and verbally (Essential).
  • Ability to self-motivate and a positive attitude is a must, as is a willingness to train and learn on different products.
  • Ability to read and understand general arrangement drawings and measure out appropriately.
  • Full appreciation of the requirement to work safely.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Mechanical installation (plus electrical if qualified) of manual and electrical rolling and folding steel shutters and doors.
  • Working on construction sites and/or in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Travelling to site addresses on a timely basis.
  • Attendance at timed site induction or completion of online inductions.
  • Maintenance and proper use of all appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Carrying out activities in accordance with project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Completion of a Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to undertaking works.
  • Meeting delivery vehicles on site and coordinating off-loading of materials.
  • Manual handling and/or use of trolleys/bogies for horizontal transfer of materials.
  • Creating a safe working area.
  • Safe use of chain hoists, genie lifts for hoisting materials into position.
  • Safe use of mobile scaffolding towers and/or MEWPS for working at height.
  • Setting out works from datums.
  • Measuring and drilling fixing holes in supporting structures as indicated on general arrangement drawings.
  • Ensuring that works are completed in a safe manner and that unfinished works are secure and do not pose a risk of damage to persons or property.
  • Checking and testing products following completion of activities.
  • Demonstration and handover of product to customers.
  • Completion of handover documentation.
  • Off-hire plant and equipment.

  • Overnight stays may be required due to location of work.
