We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and hands-on professional to join our Motor Vehicle Section as a Technician Support Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting lecturing staff and students by ensuring all workshop materials, equipment, and resources are maintained, prepared, and available for practical and theory sessions. You will help uphold the smooth and safe operation of the workshops through effective stock control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to health and safety standards, while providing technical guidance and support to both staff and learners to enhance their teaching and learning experience.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification within Motor Vehicle industry
  • GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment
  • Industrial experience in relevant curriculum area / specialism.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Assembling, issuing and maintaining materials and equipment as required.
  • Check, clean and tidy work areas after classes.
  • Unpack/checking/storing deliveries of stock and equipment.
  • Ensure adequate equipment and consumables for all sessions are available by issuing a variety of stock and equipment to lecturers and students.
  • Supporting students and staff within all sessions with delivery and provisions of resources.

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
