Lecturer A – Arts and Design
37 hours per week
£31,200 – £34,715 per annum
Bolton College is seeking an ambitious, creative, and enthusiastic Lecturer in Arts and Design to join our flourishing Art and Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support the next generation of designers through high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across a range of vocational and academic programmes.
Desired Qualifications
- A relevant degree (or equivalent)
- A teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE)
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area
- Successful experience of teaching a range of art and design disciplines such as painting, drawing, textiles, fashion or digital art in the FE sector across a variety of levels (L1-3).
- Experience of teaching, learning and assessment in the Arts educational sector to a high standard.

Day-to-day responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across a range of creative programmes
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course development, and enrichment activities
- Support students in developing technical skills, creative confidence, and professional portfolios
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of quality assurance and learner success
- Help learners achieve their full potential while promoting progression to higher education or employment in the creative industries.
As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
