Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer B with industry / subject specialist knowledge to deliver high quality teaching and learning within our Carpentry & Joinery provision.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
- Level 2 Maths and English qualifications
- Experience in the delivery of Carpentry & Joinery programmes
- Experience of assessing students at Levels 2 & 3 in Carpentry & Joinery
- Knowledge of the apprenticeship standards and experience in preparing Carpentry apprentices for end-point assessment
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- To support the Curriculum Leader by co-ordinating and supervising a small team in the delivery of high quality and inclusive provision within a curriculum area.
- To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
- To support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
- To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
- Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
