Bolton College is looking to appoint ambitious, talented, and enthusiastic Lecturer A’s in English to join our flourishing team. You will provide high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on GCSE/Functional Skills and non-accredited Community Learning courses. Applications from NQTs are welcome.

Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE).
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Proven track record in the teaching of English GCSE and functional skills up to Level 2 for ages 16–18 and 19+.
  • Experience of contextualising vocational areas into English delivery and planning.
  • Experience of working with external stakeholders/contractors/employers.
  • Experience of supporting apprenticeships within an educational environment.
  • Experience of developing and designing interactive learning materials and innovative resources to meet personalised learning requirements.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
  • Support the Head of Department on curriculum and course development.
  • Take part in and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver a number of courses as required.
  • Support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
