Fort Vale Engineering are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic I. T Support & Infrastructure Apprentice to join our growing IT team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in information technology while gaining hands‑on experience within a leading global engineering and manufacturing company.
Year 1 rate of pay would be £8.49 per hour.

Hours Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 16:30pm Fridays 7:30am – 12:30pm.

What you'll do at work
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure, helping to ensure employees across the business receive excellent technical support.
Your role will include
- Provide hands‑on IT support to users (desktops, laptops, printers.)
- Help setup and maintain PCs, servers and network equipment.
- Work with real business systems.
- Troubleshoot issues and learn how to fix them.
- Support backups, cyber security and system monitoring.
- Assist with IT projects (upgrades, rollouts, improvements.)

The apprentice will work 4 days per week at Fort Vale (BB12 7ND) and attend Bolton College( BL3 5BG) 1 day per week.
