Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Work Based Tutor in our Early Years Department to co-ordinate, recruit, manage, train and support Early Years apprentices, both in college and in the workplace.
Ideally, you will:
- Possess a relevant professional teaching/training qualification (Award in Education) or a willingness to work towards
- Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above or equivalent
- Hold a TAQA Level 3 Assessor Qualification (D32, D33, or A1/A2)
- Have experience of mentoring, guiding and supporting of apprentices to prepare them for end-point assessment
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to manage and prioritise, and to liaise effectively with employers and site supervisors.
- Have experience in the use of electronic portfolio and progress tracking systems
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring progress of the apprentice standards in line with qualification requirements
- Regular liaison with employers and construction teachers
- Supporting and contributing to the achievement of Bolton College’s business and quality targets involving recruitment of new Apprentices.
- Support excellence in formative assessment to ensure learners reach the highest standards of their qualification including outcomes of End Point Assessments (EPA).
As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
