Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer A in our Professional Building department. You will be responsible for managing the learning process to ensure high quality provision leading to individual student success.

Ideally, you will:

  • Possess a PGCE / Cert. Ed. Level 5 teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards
  • Possess a degree in a relevant occupational subject
  • Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above or equivalent
  • Hold an Assessor award and verifier award (A and V units) & IQA/Moderator
  • Have extensive experience of working within the construction industry
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to manage and prioritise.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering teaching and learning for an agreed scheduled timetable of class contact hours.
  • Supporting the curriculum management team in the development of new provision in response to identified marketing opportunities.
  • Ensuring that course design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the College.
  • Ensuring, within the area of responsibility, that there is effective programme maintenance and course management through effective and timely course correspondence and record keeping.

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
