Bolton College is seeking an ambitious, creative, and enthusiastic Lecturer in Floristry to join our flourishing Art and Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support through high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across a range of vocational and academic programs including community and adult courses from beginners to Level 2.

Ideally, you will hold:

  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience of teaching and assessing on Floristry courses at levels 1 and 2 and current or recent industrial experience
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Ceramics and a recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed / PGCE)
  • The skills necessary to grow the Floristry courses within the visual arts curriculum area

Through active recruitment for various courses and by raising standards in teaching and learning. Experience of teaching, learning and assessment in the Arts educational sector to a high standard.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across a range of creative programmes
  • Contributing to curriculum planning, course development, and enrichment activities
  • Supporting students in developing technical skills, creative confidence, and professional portfolios
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain high standards of quality assurance and learner success
  • Helping learners achieve their full potential while promoting progression to higher education or employment in the creative industries

As an individual, you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
