We have an exciting opportunity in our Admissions and Enquiries Department for an Admissions and Enquiries Administrator. You will provide information to customers and advice and guidance to potential, existing and new students on a range of issues and promote the services of the College. Supporting students with their career goals and contributing to the achievement of the College aims and objectives.
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a level 2 (or above) IT qualification or have significant IT experience in an office environment
- Possess a Level 3 in Information, Advice & Guidance/Customer Service/Business Administration or a willingness to work towards
- Hold GCSE’s in English and Maths
- Experience within a busy administration environment which involves significant team working
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to manage and prioritise
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Provide a high quality first point of contact service to all users of the College through a range of methods including phone, e-mail, webchat or in person.
- Process student applications accurately and efficiently, assessing each application against course entry criteria and making appropriate decisions or referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant records, ensuring all data is recorded in line with College procedures and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain effective procedures and records to deal with general and specific enquiries including the collation and full use of information for telephone directories, Council Tax certificates, absence logs etc.
- Work with colleagues across the College to continuously develop and improve the College’s admissions processes and systems to ensure an excellent student journey experience.
- Provide impartial information, advice and guidance in relation to the recruitment process to those interested in studying at the College.
