Join our team as a Plasterer
The Plasterer plays a key role in delivering high-quality refurbishment and maintenance works across our homes. Working on a wide range of plastering tasks, you\βll help ensure properties are safe, well maintained and finished to a high standard, directly supporting our commitment to providing quality housing and services.
This role is ideal for a skilled trade professional who takes pride in their workmanship and understands the importance of working respectfully in customers\β homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality plastering repairs and finishes in occupied and void properties, ensuring work meets housing quality standards.
- Carry out solid plastering works, including wet finishes, sand and cement rendering and external finishes where required.
- Mix and apply plaster, sand and cement finishes to walls, ceilings and floors to prepare surfaces for decoration.
- Carry out dry lining works, including fixing plasterboard to timber or metal frames and applying finishing coats.
- Renew plasterboard ceilings, including boarding and fixing timber battens.
- Undertake inspections and assess plastering requirements accurately.
- Use mobile devices (PDA) to receive, update and complete jobs through the scheduling system.
- Work collaboratively with other trade operatives, repairs teams and partner agencies to deliver a coordinated service.
- Communicate clearly with residents, minimising disruption and maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
- Ensure Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is embedded in all interactions and decisions.
- Identify and report health and safety issues, sharing learning where appropriate.
What you\βll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Plasterer within a maintenance or refurbishment environment.
- Strong skills in solid plastering, rendering and dry lining techniques.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work efficiently to agreed timescales while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes.
- Confident using mobile devices and digital systems to manage work.
- A flexible, reliable and team-focused approach.
