Join our team as a Bricklayer. We are looking for a skilled Bricklayer to play a key role in maintaining and improving our homes, ensuring our customers live in safe, high-quality properties. You will carry out a wide range of bricklaying and associated repairs, working across our housing stock to deliver durable, high-standard workmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality brickwork, blockwork, concrete and fencing repairs.
- Repair, remove and refurbish brickwork and blockwork internally and externally, including chimneys and parapet walls.
- Complete repairs to concrete floors, paths, kerbs, edgings and hard standings.
- Repair and renew fencing using a variety of materials including timber, metal and composite.
- Undertake repairs to underground services where required.
- Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolds or staging.
- Use a PDA/mobile device to receive, manage and complete work via scheduling systems.
- Communicate clearly with customers, keeping them informed and minimising disruption.
- Work collaboratively with other trades, colleagues and external partners.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and organisational policies.
- Complete work efficiently, managing time and priorities to meet targets.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all interactions.
- Report health and safety concerns and contribute to continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification) in Bricklaying.
- A full, valid driving licence.
- Proven experience in bricklaying, including building, repair and refurbishment work.
- Strong knowledge of brickwork, blockwork and associated construction techniques.
- Experience working as part of a team and alongside other trades.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic numeracy skills for measuring and estimating materials.
- Digital skills, including use of mobile devices and applications such as Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices, including safe working at height.
