VP Reserving Actuary (London Area)

Bolton Associates is partnering with a highly respected reinsurer seeking to hire a senior reserving actuary for their London office.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the development and delivery of reserving tools, models, and processes—supporting both BAU and project-based initiatives. You\’ll work closely with teams across actuarial, finance, underwriting, and IT, with a focus on enhancing technical provisions, reserve risk modelling, and reporting capabilities.

The role offers a balance of hands-on technical work and strategic input—ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration in a data-driven environment.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Qualified actuarial status

• 6+ years of actuarial experience, with a focus on reserving

• Strong technical skills—ideally including ResQ, SQL, and Python

• Knowledge of reinsurance products (preferred)

• A clear communication style and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset
