Global reinsurance broker has an opening for a nearly / newly qualified level actuary to join their Marine, Energy, Terror and Engineering Analytics team. Our client is specifically interested in candidates coming from a capital or pricing background who have worked on marine, energy and engineering classes. You'll be joining a team of actuaries and catastrophe modellers supporting large multinational clients, regularly collaborating with the broking and analytical teams across the US and Asia. There is ample opportunity to add real value to their clients and plenty of room for creativity. The team is collaborative and innovative, having naturally grown over the years with colleagues joining from other teams within the company. The role is market-facing and there will be plenty of opportunity to hone your presenting skills to prospective clients.
You will be involved in:
- Lead client casework with care and precision, including risk analysis, structuring, pricing, and optimisation of technically complex reinsurance programmes.
- Collaborate on model and tool development, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives.
- Design innovative tools to process, visualise, and analyse data in ways that empower decision-making.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically, engaging brokers and delivering presentations that build trust and understanding.
- Balance multiple priorities with confidence, managing deadlines and stakeholder needs thoughtfully.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible insights for diverse audiences.
