A market leading specialty (re)insurer is looking to expand its reserving team as a result of continued exponential growth. The Reserving Analyst will work across a broad range of lines of business such as specialty and reinsurance and collaborate closely with underwriters, actuaries, and CAT modelers across international offices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the quarterly reserving process for two syndicates
  • Supporting on presentations for Reserving Committees
  • Contributing to overall process improvement to maximise efficiencies
  • Developing analytics dashboards and reports to monitor reserving insights
  • Conducting wider project work such as supporting the internal capital model
  • Contributing to the annual business planning and SBF process

Looking to speak with a nearly or part-qualified actuary with a minimum of 3 years reserving experience. Preferably with a London market background, with experience in assumption selection, reserve documentation, and SII reporting. You will be proficient with Excel, VBA and SQL beneficial, and familiarity with analytics tools (Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau) is a plus. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with the business, and be equally comfortable taking initiative.
