Bolton Associates has just been appointed by a new, greenfield broker to find their first Lead Reinsurance Pricing Actuary. There is a senior Head of Data & Analytics incoming, and a well-established Board Member already appointed as the voice of Analytics. This is a genuine opportunity to join and shape the next big reinsurance broker.

About the Role

At this stage we are seeking Marine & Energy (some Aviation) and then Property/Retro experience. Reinsurance Pricing experience is a must, but previous experience from a broking house is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the reinsurance pricing process.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Data & Analytics.
  • Shape the pricing strategy for Marine & Energy and Property/Retro lines.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
  • Professional actuarial qualifications (FIA/FCAS).

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in reinsurance pricing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Marine & Energy and Property/Retro sectors.
  • Previous experience in a broking house - not essential.
