Our client, a renowned Lloyd’s/London Market insurance company, is seeking a Capital Analyst/Actuary to join their actuarial function.

The position is an all encompassing capital modelling role with responsibilities including development and building of the internal model, parameterisation, validation, standard formula submissions, valuation of SCR, portfolio optimisation and supporting reinsurance purchasing.

Excellent progression and scope within the role in terms of ownership of process and visibility such as presenting to capital and risk committees. There is also opportunity for someone to utilise coding abilities if they had an interest in this area.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of capital modelling experience in the general insurance market, preferably Lloyd’s experience.
  • Strong IT skills, with knowledge of capital software (Remetrica, Tyche of Igloo). R or SQL advantageous.
  • Self starter with excellent communication skills
  • Newly qualified or making good progress through the actuarial exams.
  • Must have full right to work in the UK.
