Role: CNC Machinist (Miller or Turner) Location: Telford Hours: 06:00 - 14:00 OR 14:00 - 22:00 Salary: Circa £33,000 + Shift Premium An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced CNC Machinists to join a growing specialist manufacturing business supplying precision components and electro-mechanical assemblies into the semiconductor, vacuum technology and scientific instrumentation sectors. Due to continued growth and the introduction of a new shift pattern, we are recruiting for both a CNC Miller and a CNC Turner to join a highly skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging components within an innovative business operating in future-focused industries. Duties of a CNC Machinist: * Set and operate CNC milling or turning machines to customer drawing specifications * Interpret engineering drawings and customer requirements accurately * Perform machine set-ups, tool changes and program adjustments as required * Edit CNC programs to ensure quality and efficiency standards are achieved * Use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished components * Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and productivity * Work closely with Production Engineers and colleagues to identify process improvements * Ensure all work is completed in line with company health and safety procedures * Support continuous improvement activities throughout production What you need to apply: * Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Miller or CNC Turner * Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings * Experience setting and operating CNC machinery * Knowledge of one or more of the following control systems: * Heidenhain * XYZ Protrak * XYZ Proturn * Fanuc * Competent using a variety of measuring and inspection equipment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Programming experience would be beneficial but is not essential as training can be provided By applying for this position, you confirm that you have read and understood our Data Privacy Statement and give Bolt Technical authorisation to hold your provided data.
