We are looking to hire a Public Policy Manager – Safety and Compliance to join our Public Policy team in London, UK.

About The Role
As the Public Policy Manager – Safety and Compliance, you will lead Bolt’s public policy work related to driver, passenger and courier safety across all markets. You will join an existing internal and cross vertical safety team and become the key link between that team and the global public policy department.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Drive regulatory campaigns, framework changes, and government advocacy to set industry standards for safety and compliance in key markets.
- Represent the company at external meetings, driver forums, and events related to safety in the platform economy.
- Lead and support large-scale safety projects as part of cross-functional teams, providing feedback on potential product changes.
- Keep public policy teams and the broader business informed about safety developments, regulatory concerns, and reputational risks.
- Enable public policy team members to communicate effectively about new safety features and partnerships to external audiences.
- Establish partnerships with third-party organizations and other operators to improve and harmonize safety standards across ride hailing and delivery, including through external accreditation and shared best practices.
About you:
- You have a background in safety, security, or within a highly regulated industry.
- You have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); other languages such as French, German, or Polish are an advantage.
- You are educated to degree level with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public policy, regulatory, or compliance processes.
- You are willing to travel widely, set deadlines, collaborate with other functions, and project manage a variety of processes.
- You have great presentation skills, including in front of large audiences, and are a people person and good listener with an interest in the platform economy and experience working closely with community groups.
- You are resilient, capable of adapting to uncomfortable situations and responding well under pressure; an understanding of taxi and private hire issues is a distinct advantage.
