Production Engineer (Electrical Manufacturing)

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 + Benefits
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00-17:15, Friday 8:00-12:00
About the Role
BOLT Technical are supporting a well-established UK manufacturing business looking for a Production Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
You will take customer drawings, electrical schematics and BOMs and productionise them for manufacture, ensuring designs are accurate, practical and suitable for the production environment.
Working closely with Engineering and Production, you'll also support NPI, technical queries and continuous improvement, with opportunities to progress towards a Senior Engineer position.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings and BOMs
- Transfer customer designs into internal manufacturing formats
- Check technical information for accuracy and manufacturability
- Support production with technical issues and queries
- Support NPI and engineering change activity
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency
- Maintain accurate BOMs and production documentation
About You
- HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical or electronic manufacturing experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with technical drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation
- Ideally, experience with panel building, contactors, fuses, PLCs and DC/high-voltage systems
- Practical, analytical approach with good attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable: AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN and Lean/CI experience.
