About The Role

The Operations Specialist supports UK operations by driving operational excellence while ensuring alignment with licensing, regulatory and internal policy requirements. The role focuses on questioning existing ways of working, simplifying and automating processes, analysing data, and implementing practical solutions that improve the team’s efficiency, accuracy and scalability.

Working within the strategy and priorities set by the Operations Manager, the Operations Specialist takes ownership of assigned improvement projects from scoping through implementation and adoption. These projects may include redesigning processes, building automations using AI and other available tools, analysing safety or operational data, measuring and monitoring outcomes, conducting risk assessments, or proposing improvements to the wider Trust & Safety and compliance framework.

While Trust & Safety and compliance are the role’s primary focus, the Operations Specialist may also support operational excellence initiatives in adjacent UK operations teams, such as Driver Growth, where their expertise can deliver wider operational benefits. This requires strong project delivery and change management, as well as the ability to turn operational problems into practical, compliant solutions.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence projects end-to-end, from problem definition and requirements gathering through to implementation, adoption and impact monitoring.
• Review, redesign, standardise and automate processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability, using AI and other tools where appropriate, and monitor automations to confirm they keep delivering compliant results.
• Partner with process owners and subject-matter experts to validate needs, challenge assumptions and design practical, effective solutions.
• Support compliance operations by maintaining accurate records, monitoring local regulatory alignment and resolving or escalating identified gaps.
• Analyse operational, compliance and safety data to identify trends, assess risks and recommend improvements to processes, controls and safety features.
• Support UK launches and centrally led changes by ensuring operational readiness, adapting implementation to local requirements and maintaining clear process documentation.

About You

• 2+ years of experience in operations, compliance or process improvement; experience in transport, logistics or another regulated industry is a plus.
• Strong compliance and risk awareness, with the ability to apply regulatory, licensing, policy and operational requirements when evaluating processes, automations and changes.
• Hands-on experience using AI and automation tools to solve operational problems, with the ability to assess solutions for accuracy, effectiveness and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes, judge whether a process should be kept, simplified or automated, and turn data into practical recommendations.
• Proven ownership and project-delivery skills, with the ability to manage priorities and take initiatives from scoping through implementation and adoption.
• Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence to challenge existing ways of working, influence process owners and support teams through change.
