Bolt Technical are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global FMCG business, for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join its growing field service engineering team of 30 in the UK.

You’ll play a key role in delivering technical excellence and ensuring that equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction are consistently upheld.

Enjoy a Monday–Friday working pattern with regionally focused assignments, meaning minimal nights away from home.

Key

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, repair, and maintain food processing and packaging machinery.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times.
  • Provide on-site support and technical expertise to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of service, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Work autonomously across a regional customer base while collaborating with the wider technical team.

For

  • Qualified multi-skilled engineer with experience in the FMCG or food production sectors
  • Electro-mechanical background (apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motor control systems
  • Experience with PLCs and Ladder Logic is advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
  • Full, valid UK driving licence required
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, 'can-do' attitude

Offer

  • Competitive basic salary of £45,000 per annum – OTE of circa £65,000
  • Company Vehicle including personal use
  • Optional overtime available (£50/hour on weekends, 1.5x standard rate before 8:30am and after 5:30pm).
  • Monday–Friday schedule – no weekend work or night shifts.
  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
  • Discretionary annual bonus.
