We are looking for a strategic and impact-driven Head of Trust & Safety Operations to lead Bolt’s global Ride Hailing Trust & Safety function. This role combines strategic vision with thoughtful operational execution and is accountable for ensuring Bolt provides the safest and most trusted mobility experience to millions of riders and drivers across multiple markets.
About us: With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!
About the role: As the global owner, you will co-create and operationalize Bolt’s Trust & Safety frameworks, policies, and interventions—spanning incident response, risk management, safety compliance, fraud prevention, and user trust initiatives. You will ensure global programs are designed with market realities in mind, rolled out with precision, and continuously iterated for long-term impact. You will work closely with central teams—Product & Engineering, Public Policy, Risk, Legal, Marketing, and Finance—to shape and deliver best-in-class Trust & Safety strategies tailored to the Ride Hailing business. At the same time, you will collaborate deeply with regional and local operations teams to ensure aligned, consistent, and effective execution. As the accountable owner for global Trust & Safety KPIs, you will safeguard platform integrity, reduce risk exposure, and build scalable operational processes that proactively address emerging challenges. You will also lead and support the growth of a global team of program leaders and operations specialists, fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment where people are empowered, supported, and able to develop their strengths. This is a high-impact leadership role suited for someone who thrives in dynamic global environments, builds strong cross-functional partnerships, and is motivated by creating a safer and more trusted platform at scale.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Define and lead Bolt’s global Trust & Safety strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory expectations, and long-term platform integrity.
- Design and implement global Trust & Safety programs (incident management, fraud prevention, compliance, background checks), adapting them to local market needs.
- Own and manage global Trust & Safety KPIs, standardizing processes, ensuring transparency, and delivering clear performance reviews to senior leadership.
- Build, develop, and support a high-performing global team, fostering an inclusive culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Influence cross-functional teams and build capability across markets, ensuring safety is embedded into product, operations, and policy through strong partnerships and knowledge-sharing.
About you: You have 10+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Management, Operations, or Compliance, with significant global or multi-market scope. You have proven success in building and leading global teams, including supporting senior managers and regional leaders. You have a track record of designing and scaling safety or fraud prevention programs with measurable business impact. You can influence C-level decision-making and engage effectively with regulators or external stakeholders. You have a strong analytical and commercial mindset, with experience managing global budgets and navigating trade-offs. Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
Why you’ll love it here:
- Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
- Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
- Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
- Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
- Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
- Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.
