This is an exciting time for a growing manufacturing business, and we are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to join the team. With the company in a growth phase, this is a unique opportunity to put your stamp on operations, drive change, and build a high-performing, motivated production team.
You’ll lead shop floor operations, deliver production plans On Time in Full, embed Lean principles, and drive measurable results across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People metrics. If you are passionate about motivating teams, managing change, and creating sustainable processes, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage shop floor operations, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met
- Deliver production plans while improving efficiency, productivity, and cost control
- Build and develop a high-performing, engaged production team
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Optimise processes, reduce waste, and improve flow through structured problem-solving
- Own Health & Safety performance and maintain compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001 standards
- Support customer audits and maintain operational discipline across the site
- Previous experience within electrical / electronics or electro mechanical manufacturing
- Proven track record delivering improvements across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Strong technical or engineering background (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent)
- Hands-on, visible leader with strong communication and team coaching skills
- Experienced in Lean/CI, ERP/MRP systems, and production planning
- Proactive, results-driven, and able to inspire and motivate teams
- Competitive salary up to £60,000
