About the Opportunity

Bolt Technical are recruiting for a Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business that supplies bespoke electrical and automation solutions to customers across a wide range of industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in managing supplier relationships, ensuring material availability, supporting production requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of materials and components to support production requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved
  • Monitor demand forecasts and place orders in line with business requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and cost-saving initiatives with suppliers
  • Manage supplier performance and proactively resolve supply chain issues
  • Support inventory management activities to maintain continuity of supply while minimising excess stock
  • Work closely with internal departments to support operational and commercial objectives
  • Assist with supplier quality concerns and corrective action activities where required
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, supplier consolidation, and procurement efficiencies
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within internal systems

  • Previous experience within a purchasing, procurement, or buying environment
  • Manufacturing or engineering sector experience
