About the Opportunity:
Bolt Technical are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Back End Software Developer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a business that designs and manufactures advanced camera systems used across multiple sectors. You’ll play a key role in developing scalable backend systems that process and analyse real-world data from IoT devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend software systems in Java or C#
- Build scalable platforms for ingesting and analysing data from ANPR and IoT devices
- Develop RESTful APIs and collaborate with front-end developers
- Ensure software performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
- Integrate customer and internal feedback into software improvements
- Test and validate systems against real-world scenarios
What They’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar role in software development
- Strong skills in Java and/or C#
- Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant or .NET
- Experience using Git for version control
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Experience working in Windows and/or Linux environments
- Experience with cameras or IoT systems (desirable)
