About the Opportunity
Bolt Technical are hiring for a Business Development Manager, for a well-established franchised distributor within the electronics space, working with leading global suppliers and offering both off-the-shelf and design-in solutions. This is a newly established division, offering a strong opportunity for a driven sales professional to build a market presence from the ground up. You’ll focus primarily on new business development, introducing a specialist range of HMI solutions and power products into key industries across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the UK within Industrial, Defence, Rail and Medical sectors
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities from initial contact through to close
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
- Promote a full range of HMI and power products, including switches, keypads, joysticks, power supplies and converters
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with revenue targets
- Use CRM systems to manage pipeline, forecasts and customer interactions
- Collaborate with internal teams and international suppliers
- Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers
What They’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Business Development or Technical Sales role within electronic components (ideally HMI or Power)
- Proven ability to generate new business and close sales
- Experience selling into sectors such as Industrial, Defence, Rail or Medical
- Strong technical understanding of electronic components
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working autonomously
- Experience using CRM/ERP systems (Dynamics/Business Central advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence
What’s on Offer
- £50,000 - £60,000 basic salary + £20,000 OTE (monthly commission on GP)
