About the Opportunity:

Bolt Technical are hiring for our client for an RF & Satellite Communications Engineer to join their innovative and fast-growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with a passion for RF and satellite communications to gain hands-on experience across the full system lifecycle - from design and integration through to testing, validation, and final delivery. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on cutting-edge RF and Satcom projects while supporting the delivery of high-performance technical solutions for customers across the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, integration, and delivery of RF and Satcom systems to meet customer requirements
  • Assist with RF testing activities and validate system performance against technical specifications
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including test plans, reports, and design documentation
  • Support customer acceptance testing and validation activities
  • Work closely with pre-sales teams to provide technical input during proposal development
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of RF and Satcom components and subsystems
  • Support system integration and troubleshooting activities in both laboratory and customer environments
  • Stay up to date with RF engineering and satellite communication technologies, industry standards, and market developments
  • Ensure work is completed in line with quality standards, project timelines, and safety procedures

What They’re Looking For:

  • Understanding of RF system design, testing, and troubleshooting principles
  • Knowledge of satellite communications technologies including VSAT systems, terminals, modems, and antennas
  • Familiarity with GEO, MEO, and LEO satellite systems
  • Exposure to RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, signal generators, and power meters
  • Understanding of system integration within complex hardware and software environments
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured troubleshooting approach
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within engineering and cross-functional teams
  • Adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced technical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement

Education:

  • HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Telecommunications, RF Engineering, or a related discipline
