About the Role
BOLT Technical are supporting a growing UK manufacturing business specialising in electrical and automation solutions for industrial applications. They are looking for a Production Engineer to support manufacturing operations, new product introduction (NPI), and continuous improvement activity within a fast-paced engineering environment. This is a hands-on role working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery from concept through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production engineering across manufacturing operations
- Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and production readiness
- Produce accurate technical documentation (BOMs, production packs, data)
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
- Support design for manufacture (DFM) and engineering change processes
- Work with quality teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Contribute to SQCDP meetings and performance tracking
- Support efficiency, capacity planning, and delivery targets
- Maintain accurate engineering data and documentation systems
- Support and mentor junior team members where required
What We're Looking For
- Background in electrical/electronic engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in production engineering, design support, or similar role
- Understanding of electrical systems, control panels, or automation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Desirable: CAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN), lean manufacturing exposure
