Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:45, Friday: 07:30 - 12:30 (40 hours per week)

About the Opportunity

Bolt Technical are recruiting for Cable Harness Assembly Technicians to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production team supporting new customer projects within highly regulated industries. The role will involve the assembly of high-quality cable harnesses and electrical products, working from technical drawings and specifications within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The company supplies specialist products into industries including aerospace, defence, motorsport, medical, marine, energy, and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble cable harnesses and electrical products to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Carry out soldering, crimping, wiring, and general electro-mechanical assembly work
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
  • Complete quality inspections and ensure products meet required standards
  • Identify and report faults, defects, or specification issues during assembly
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation
  • Use assembly tools and equipment safely and correctly
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain high manufacturing standards

What They’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within an electrical, electronic, or cable assembly environment
  • IPC620 experience highly desirable
  • Soldering and crimping experience
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good manual dexterity and practical assembly skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
