About the Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Account Manager to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an exciting new opportunity, created due to business growth, to manage and develop key customer relationships, help drive business growth, and make a real impact in a high-performing, collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and delivered while supporting long-term programmes and business expansion. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and contributing to a business in a growth phase, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts, developing strong commercial and technical relationships
- Oversee the full customer lifecycle from RFQ, NPI, production, to delivery
- Prepare accurate quotations, pricing, and proposals aligned with commercial and margin objectives
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional products, programmes, or volumes
- Act as the customer interface for operational, commercial, and contractual matters
- Capture and act on customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and finance
- Support compliance, audits, and issue resolution to maintain customer confidence
What They’re Looking For
- Proven account management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, contracts, and margin management
- Solid technical understanding with the ability to interpret specifications and drawings
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and long-term programmes across the product lifecycle
- Experienced in quality-driven and regulated environments (ISO9001, AS9100 advantageous)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, customer-focused, and able to work collaboratively across teams
- Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with the ability to influence without direct authority
