An established and highly respected Mechanical Electrical engineering company is seeking an experienced Site Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team. The business delivers high-quality service, maintenance, and repair solutions across a wide range of industrial and commercial environments. This role is primarily site-based, covering a local area (within approximately 50 miles), and is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and engaging directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, fans, and rotating equipment
- Carry out bearing replacements and mechanical seal changes
- Remove, install, and replace mechanical units as required
- Service pumping stations, including sewage systems and associated equipment
- Lift pumps, clear blockages, and ensure correct operation of float switches and control gear
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective on-site repairs
- Work directly with customer representatives on-site
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health safety regulations
What They’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working with pumps, motors, and rotating equipment
- Strong knowledge of inverters, electrical systems, and control panels
- Experience working on-site and liaising with customers
- Ability to work at height and in confined spaces (training provided if required)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
