About the Opportunity:
Bolt Technical are recruiting for Cable Harness Assembly Technicians to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production team supporting new customer projects within highly regulated industries. The role will involve the assembly of high-quality cable harnesses and electrical products, working from technical drawings and specifications within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The company supplies specialist products into industries including aerospace, defence, motorsport, medical, marine, energy, and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble cable harnesses and electrical products to engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out soldering, crimping, wiring, and general electro-mechanical assembly work
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
- Complete quality inspections and ensure products meet required standards
- Identify and report faults, defects, or specification issues during assembly
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
- Use assembly tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Support continuous improvement and maintain high manufacturing standards
What They’re Looking For:
- Previous experience within an electrical, electronic, or cable assembly environment
- IPC620 experience highly desirable
- Soldering and crimping experience
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good manual dexterity and practical assembly skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
