  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for bottling, filling, capping, labelling, and packaging machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure high-quality output and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all engineering activities.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, operators, and colleagues on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and drive operational enhancements.

What They’re Looking For

  • A degree, HNC, or HND in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role, with the ability to organise and motivate a team.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ideally with PLC knowledge (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron).
  • Hands-on experience in liquid filling, bottling, or packaging operations.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale project management.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently when required.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary up to £70k per annum (depending on experience).
  • Discretionary annual bonus.
  • Pension scheme (currently 3%, under review).
