About the Opportunity

Bolt Technical are hiring for a Small Works Engineer to join a growing and established fire, security, and electrical services business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work across a variety of installation and small works projects involving Fire Detection, Security, CCTV, Access Control, and Electrical systems. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality installations and modifications while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The company offers a supportive working environment, ongoing training opportunities, and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation, modification, and commissioning work across Fire, Security, CCTV, Access Control, and Electrical systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company, client, and industry standards
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, quality, and compliance
  • Complete works within agreed timescales, including service and maintenance activities where required
  • Accurately complete documentation and support colleagues to ensure successful project delivery

  • Strong understanding of electrical installation principles
  • Experience installing and maintaining at least two of the following: Fire, Fire Suppression, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, or Electrical Systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Good communication skills and a commitment to quality and compliance
