About the Opportunity:

Bolt Technical are recruiting on behalf of a well-established fire and security specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a close-knit and professional team, delivering high-quality service across a range of commercial and high-profile sites. The role offers a strong mix of independence and team collaboration, with opportunities for training, progression, and occasional UK and international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on:
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Intruder alarms
    • CCTV systems (analogue & IP)
    • Access control systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across fire and security systems
  • Work independently on customer sites and occasionally as part of a team
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with industry standards and regulations
  • Accurately complete service reports and documentation using mobile devices
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 10, after initial onboarding period)

  • Proven experience in the fire and/or security industry
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across fire and security systems
  • Good understanding of CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
