An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist to join a successful global business specialising in the design and manufacture of retail equipment, clothing and accessories.
The business is looking to strengthen its enterprise data quality, accuracy and governance. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable product, material, supplier and customer data across PLC/PLM and SAP ERP systems.
Working closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Finance and global teams, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of data management processes, drive continuous improvement and make a real impact within a collaborative, quality-focused environment.
Duties of a Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist:
- Maintain and improve master data standards, governance policies and data quality across PLC/PLM and SAP ERP systems.
- Manage and maintain product, material, bill of materials (BOM), supplier and customer master data.
- Monitor data accuracy, completeness and consistency, identifying and resolving discrepancies, duplicates and data integrity issues.
- Support data integration between PLC/PLM and SAP, ensuring accurate transfer of product structures, specifications and attributes.
- Troubleshoot data integration issues and work with IT and business stakeholders to resolve defects.
- Support new product introductions, product lifecycle changes, data migrations and mass data updates.
- Document and improve data management processes, workflows and governance procedures.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, IT and global teams to ensure consistent data standards and effective business processes.
What you need to apply for a Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist:
- Proven experience in master data management, data governance or ERP data-related roles.
- Experience working with customer data, ensuring high standards of accuracy, completeness and integrity.
- A background in manufacturing or an industrial environment, ideally within a large organisation.
- Experience with SAP ERP, ideally including material master data, BOMs and routings.
- Understanding of PLC/PLM processes, product structures and product change management.
- Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality monitoring and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.
- A proactive, process-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
