About the Role

Bolt Technical are hiring for our client, a leading manufacturer supplying global brands in over 100 countries, including applications in motorsport, automotive, and military industries. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery in our clients manufacturing facilities, supporting production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role where you will be part of a small, supportive engineering team within a friendly, family-oriented company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for bottling, filling, capping, labelling, and packaging machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure high-quality output and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all engineering activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to operators and colleagues on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and operational enhancements.

What They’re Looking For

  • A degree, HNC, HND in a Mechanical or Electrical Discipline.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ideally with PLC knowledge (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron).
  • Hands-on experience in liquid filling, bottling, or packaging operations.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale project management.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently when required.
